108 international students finish the Vietnamese Language Foundation course in the academic year 2023-2024

On the morning of June 28, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education - (UD-UED) held a closing session of the Vietnamese Language Foundation Course for the academic year 2023 - 2024.

Attending the meeting, there was the participation of Mr. Do Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Centre for International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Services (CIFA) in Da Nang.
From UD-UED, there was the representative of the Board of Rectors, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Vice Rector and representatives of Department of Academic Affairs, Department of Student Affairs, Department of Science and International Cooperation and Faculty of Literature and Linguistics.
In the academic year 2023 - 2024, UD-UED welcomed 108 international students to the Vietnamese Language Foundation Course. Among them, there are 107 Lao students under the scholarship agreement between the governments of the two countries, scholarships from Da Nang City and scholarships from Dak Lak province and one Myanmar student.

Making the speech at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector extended the congratulations and thanked the international students for choosing the UD-UED as a place to study abroad and give wings to their dreams for their future careers. “I, like UED, hope you will achieve the highest results in the upcoming Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test to continue to realize your dream of studying the major you have chosen. No matter where you continue to study or work in the future, I hope you will keep your passion; keep the affection for the country, the people of Vietnam and the love for the Vietnamese language” – Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu said.

Taking the Vietnamese Language Foundation Program at UD-UED enables international students to practice language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition to studying in class, international students can also participate in exciting activities inside and outside the campus such as: joining field trips to localities, participating in competitions, and activities on Vietnamese holidays and Tet; receiving career orientation advice at all member universities of UD..., thereby, helping the students be more confident in communication, immerse themselves in the learning environment at the University and better understand the Vietnamese culture and customs. UD-UED also always creates the best conditions for international students such as: arranging high quality dormitory rooms, having Vietnamese lecturers and students to accompany, support international students through the program “ one Vietnamese student supports one international student” …

After finishing the Vietnamese Language Foundation Program at UD-UED, the students will take the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test to be eligible for undergraduate and post-graduate programs.
