Students of the University of Danang - University of Science and Education achieved good results at the Student Scientific Research Award – Euréka

The Student Scientific Research Award – Euréka is a prestigious award for nationwide students’ excellence in scientific research and creativity. In 2021, the Euréka Award attracted the participation of 132 colleges, universities and institutes from 32 provinces and cities nationwide with more than 1,250 research projects of 5,900 students and more than 2,000 supervisors. The University of Danang - University of Science and Education had 23 projects submitted to the Award, with 02 projects reaching the final awards ceremony and 02 projects reaching final round 1 and 02 groups of students won the Consolation Prizes.
The Student Scientific Research Award – Euréka this year was implemented from June to December 2021. After lots of rounds of the competition, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) made its mark with:

The project on "Research on tea bags made from mushrooms and flowers" by the student group including Le Thi Phuong Thu; Truong Dinh Quoc Huy; Bui Duc Thang (17CNSH); Do Phu Huy; Phan Nguyen Khanh Uyen (19CNSH) (the supervisor: MSc. Nguyen Thi Bich Hang, Faculty of Biology - Environment); the project on "The reception of China's national image on VnExpress in 2019" by student Nguyen Tuan Hung (18CLS) (the supervisor: Dr. Nguyen Van Sang, Department of Science and International Cooperation).

The EURÉKA Award Ceremony 2021
The 23rd EURÉKA Award Ceremony 2021 was held on the afternoon of December 18, 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City. The Organizing Committee awarded 02 Consolation prizes in the field of Education for 02 projects by UD-UED students: the project on "Designing widgets integrated in Microsoft Office on Visual Basic for Application to support the process of teaching and learning chemistry at high school " and the project on " Synthesis of ZIF67/rGO and its application to modify electrode to investigate the electrochemical properties of metal ions Hg(II), As(V)".
Through the research projects, the student groups of the university have demonstrated the sense of responsibility towards society and the civilized attitude of the young generation; the ability to grasp the problem and update of the social situation quickly. These will be possible solutions to spread values to the community and the foundation and motivation for lecturers and students to conquer the higher goals lying ahead.
Associating training with scientific research is an important task that UD-UED has paid special attention to for the theoretical development, update of new knowledge and practicality. Scientific research products are also considered an attraction for training and international cooperation, contributing to the brand and reputation of the University.
In the academic year 2020-2021, UD-UED students and lecturers also achieved a lot of prizes in scientific research and start-up competitions: the Second Prize in the Student Scientific Research Award at the University of Da Nang for the project by a group of students from the Faculty of Mathematics; Third Prize in the Da Nang City-level Student Science Research Award for the project by a group of students from the Faculty of Physics; Second Prize in Da Nang Startup Runway 2021 for the project by a group of students from Faculty of Biology and Environment; 01 project on AlgaeVi developed into the market and 01 project of students of Faculty of Chemistry reaching the final round of “Light Up Your Creativity” by Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
The above results once again confirm the improvement in scientific research activities of UD-UED lecturers and students in recent years. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to the development of the university with a tradition of more than 45 years of construction and development.
