Meeting with Kansai University of International Studies, Japan

   From Kansai University of International Studies, there was the participation of Mr. Kawawaki Yasou and Ms. Tanaka Ayako, lecturers of the University and students from Japan and Indonesia - members of the Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Education Program of Kansai University of International Studies. 
    There was also the participation of Dr. Hoang Hai, Director of Japan Center - The university of Danang.  
    From UD-UED, there was the participation of Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan, Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation, MA. Vo Thi Bay and MA. Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc, Vice Deans, and some lecturers and students of Faculty of Primary Education. 
    At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan warmly welcomed the delegation of Kansai University of International Studies and hoped that this visit would open up meaningful cooperation programs between two units.

At the meeting, Mr. Kawawaki Yasou and the members of made an introduction on the Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Education Program of Kansai University of International Studies, Japan, thereby, expressing his hope for cooperation with UD-UED, especially the Faculty of Primary Education in implementing the activities of the program.

Accordingly, the representatives of Kansai University of International Studies hoped that two units would cooperate in the research and implementation of the Program contents, such as: cooperating in education, training to prevent and reduce natural disaster risks for teachers and students of primary schools in the Danang city. At the same time, students of the Faculty of Primary Education can go to Japan to participate in the Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Education Program of Kansai University of International Studies. 
    The Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Education Program of Kansai University of International Studies takes place for about 2 weeks, including a safety management education training program, and practical activities to train skills to respond, prevent, and reduce natural disaster risks for oneself, family, and the community. Students participating in the Program will receive financial support and a certificate from Kansai University of International Studies after completing the training course. In addition, this is also an opportunity for students from other countries to come to Japan to experience, and learn about Japanese culture as well as travel abroad. 
    On this occasion, Japanese and Indonesian students also shared their experiences and feelings when participating in the Program. All students expressed their hope to work with the students of UD-UED to develop many activities to support training in natural disaster risk reduction skills for the community.

   At the end of the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan, Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation gave presents to the members of the delegation. Lecturers, students of Faculty of Primary Education and Japanese, Indonesian students of the delegation also exchanged the presents with each other.
