Extending the cooperation between the University of Science and Education – the University of Da Nang and the College at Brockport - State University of New York

On the afternoon of April 16, Dr. George T. Sipos – Director of International Education and Senior International Officer, the College at Brockport and Ms. Susan Hermann – Director of the SUNY Brockport Program, visited and worked at the University of Science and Education – the University of Danang (UED). Welcoming representatives of Brockport there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice Rector of the UED, Board of Management of Faculty of Psychology and Education and the UED Department of Science & International Cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son expressed his pleasure to welcome the representative of the College at Brockport - State University of New York and introduced the main features of Danang University of Science and Education, as well as the outstanding achievements that the university has achieved in training, teaching and international cooperation activities.

Dr. George T. Sipos, on his side, also provided useful information regarding the development of the Brockport University and international collaborative training programs that are being developed at this institution. At the same time, expressed his wish, based on the cooperation agreement signed with the UED in 2012 that could broaden the links between two universities in the online curriculum to give students of two sides opportunities for learning in the international environment on the spot, and also to help to diversify forms of teaching and learning for both teachers and students.

In response to the goodwill from the College at Brockport - State University of New York, Prof. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son highly appreciated the training programs that Dr. George T. Sipos proposed, and confirmed that the UED will create the best conditions for strengthening quickly and effectively the cooperation between the two universities.

The College at Brockport - State University of New York was founded in 1835, is one of the prestigious institutions of higher education in the United States. From 1917 until now, the University has started to set up a system of international cooperation with many countries in almost continents with more than 200 international student exchange programs each year. At present, the form of online training cooperation is being focused, invested and developed by this university.
