Meeting with Champasak province Department of Education and Sports, Laos
In order to enhance cooperation in training foreign students, on the morning of July 05, 2022, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) had a meeting with Champasak province Department of Education and Sports, Laos.
The delegation of Champasak province Department of Education and Sports included: Mr. Bouathong Souvannasan, Director of Champasak province Department of Education and Sports; Mr. Phouvong Aphai, Vice-Director; Mr. Khamphao Muengvongsa, Head of Administration and Finance Division; Mr.Soupaith Phavixay, Head of Statistics, Planning and International Cooperation Division; Mr. Volasan Baiphachanh, Head of Human Resources Division; Mr.Ketana Keosanit, Head of General Education Division; Mr.Alisak Singsouvong, Head of Vocational Education Division; Mr. Phouthadeth Noryanxana, Interpreter, Champasak province Department of Foreign Affairs; Ms. Sivon Xayyasith, Staff of Statistics, Planning and International Cooperation Division.
From UD-UED, there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang, Rector of UD-UEd; Bui Bich Hanh, Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Van Sang, Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation; Dr. Phan Thi Hoa, Deputy Head of Department of Academic Affairs; MA. Huynh Bong, Deputy Head of Department of Student Affairs; Dr. Ho Tran Ngoc Oanh, Dean of Faculty of Literature and Linguistics and Dr. Trinh Dang Mau, Vice Dean of Faculty of Biology and Environment.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang introduced about the university, the " UED Inspiration" Scholarship Fund and emphasized the University's deep interest in Lao students during their studying at the university. When the Covid-19 pandemic took place, the University had policies and gave timely support to Lao students.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang said that the Party Committee and Board of Rectors of the University continued to maintain and strengthen the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with localities of Laos, especially with ChampaSak province as well as promote cooperation with the Embassy and Consulate General of Laos in Vietnam.
As one of the key human resource training institutions in the education system in Vietnam, at present, UD-UED is home to a large number of Lao students. Currently, there are more than 130 Lao students studying at different faculties of the university.

Mr. Bouathong Souvannasan, Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Champasak province, expressed his gratitude sympathy, and desire to strengthen the relationship between Champasak province and UD-UED. Especially, he wished to urge the preparation for the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two sides in the near future.
