The University of Danang - University of Science and Education worked and signed the MoU with Pakse Teacher Training College

In order to effectively implement the signed contents and continue the achieved results, as well as expand cooperation between the two institutions in the period of 2022-2027, on the morning of August 18, 2022, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) had a meeting and signed the MoU with Pakse Teacher Training College.
The delegation of Pakse Teacher Training College included: Dr. Somxay Thepsombat – Director; Ms. Soutsada Vongbandit – Vice Director; Mr. Soukkhasavat Vongchak - Vice Director; Mr. Akhaphong Manibon – Head of Administration Unit; Dr.Lopphalac Outitpannha - Head of Academic Affairs Unit; Mr. Suttham Khammanyvong – Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics; Ms. Syamphone Sylaphet - Dean of Faculty of Chemistry - Biology; Ms. Thongmuon Phetthany – Vice Principal of Teaching Practice School; Ms. Malaysone Hanviset – Deputy Head of  Foreign Affairs Department.
From UD-UED, there was the participation of leaders and representatives of the related departments and faculties: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang - Rector of the University; Dr. Bui Bich Hanh - Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan - Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation, Dr. Phan Duc Tuan - Head of Department of Academic Affairs; MA. Nguyen Vinh San - Head of Department of Student Affairs; Dr. Nguyen Van Sang – Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung - Deputy Head of Department of Personnel and Administration; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Dean of Faculty of Physics; Dr. Dinh Van Tac - Vice Dean of Faculty of Chemistry; Dr. Chu Van Tiep - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics; Dr. Nguyen Minh Ly - Dean of Faculty of Biology - Environment; and Dr. Tran Thi Yen Minh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Literature and Linguistics.
       At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang said, “As one of the key national teacher education universities, the University not only trains high-quality human resources, especially teachers, for the Central region and Highlands of Vietnam, but also is ready to support human resource training for Laos. The University has more than 20 years of teaching Lao students and has trained more than 2000 Lao students. In the academic year 2021-2022, there are 131 Lao students taking the Vietnamese course, undergraduate and post - graduate programs. In particular, there is 01 PhD students in the field of educational management under the scholarship of the Vietnamese government.
Pakse Teacher Training College  and UD-UED are teacher training instituions and have many similarities. Therefore, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in 2015. Accordingly, UD-UED granted  02 scholarships to 02 teachers of Pakse Teacher Training College to take Master's programs at the University. Due to a number of reasons, the results of cooperation are still modest. However, I realize that the two sides have great potential for cooperation in the near future.”

In response to the affection of the University, Dr. Somxay Thepsombat – Director of Pakse Teacher Training College hoped that in the near future UD-UED would help provide PhD programs for the teachers of the College so that it could progress to become ta university. Besides, he highly appreciated the University's research and wished to have more seminars and programs for cultural and academic exchange between the two sides. He also invited the University to visit the College for discussion on  further cooperation.
