Meeting with Mr. Kato Kazuya, the Japanese expert: promoting opportunities to study and work in Japan for students of psychology and social work

On the morning of April 13, 2022, The University of Danang – University of Science and Education (UD-UED) had a meeting with Mr. Kato Kazuya, the Japanese expert in caring for people with dementia to find out cooperative possibilities.

Currently, Nursing and Caregiving is one of the sectors needing human resources in Japan because of the specific nature of the work, so it creates job opportunities for not only people in Japan but also those from other Asian countries, especially the Vietnamese. However, to be able to do this kind of work, Vietnamese workers, especially students having the desire to work in the sector need to learn Japanese and choose the right reputable and quality training institution for their study and practice. Understanding the situation, UD-UED had a meeting with Mr.Kato Kazuya – Director of NANAKAMADO Care Welfare Business Cooperative Association for an academic exchange.
The meeting took place at the UD-UED campus in a solemn and exciting atmosphere with the participation of Mr. Kato Kazuya, Mr. Dinh Thanh Tung - Director of Vinanihon Co. Ltd., the representatives of UD-UED including Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan – Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation, MA. Bui Van Van - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Education, lecturers of the Division of Social Work and more than 300 students of the Faculty.
At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan - Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation said that UD-UED was honored to welcome and conduct academical exchange with the Japanese expert in nursing and caregiving and also expressed the desire to cooperate with NANAKAMADO in creating conditions for the  students to have the opportunity to do professional practice, thereby enabling them to find suitable jobs in the nursing and caregiving sector in Japan.
Mr. Kato Kazuya also gave very practical information on opportunities to study and do professional practice at Japanese enterprises and job opportunities in Japan. 

 
After the meeting with the representatives of UD-UED, Mr. Kato Kazuya had a talk with the students of Faculty of Psychology and Education to share his experience in training nurses and caregivers, and gave instructions on how to care for patients with dementia and on effective disease prevention.
