“AGAINST THE SANDS OF TIME” EXHIBITION AT UD-UED
On the afternoon of November 21, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi and the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD - UED) held “Against the Sands of Time” Exhibition at UD-UED.
The Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition
With the desire to create an opportunity for lecturers and students to better understand the history and contributions of Polish historians, archaeologists and experts to the excavation, conservation and restoration of cultural heritages and archaeological sites in the world recognized by UNESCO. The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi in collaboration with the UD-UED.

From the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi, there was the participation of Ms.Victoria Huyen Nguyen – Public Diplomat, and Mr. Piotr Frieskie - representing the Polish community in Central Vietnam.
From UD-UED, the participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Minh – Chairman of the University Council, leaders of departments and faculties, lecturers and students.

At the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition, Ms.Victoria Huyen Nguyen – Public Diplomat, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi said: “This exhibition is dedicated to the contribution of Poland to the protection of World Heritage sites as well as exploration and research done by Polish archaeologists and conservation experts around the world including: Sudan, Egypt, Syria, Cambodia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Tanzania, USA and Vietnam”.
Ms.Victoria Huyen Nguyen also shared “Scientists, archaeologists and conservators from Poland are valued in the world due to their achievements in the preservation, research and management of heritage, the development of new research methods and technologies, and participation in interdisciplinary projects and international scientific forums.”

Making the speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Minh – Chairman of the University Council said “UD-UED is pleased and proud to accompany the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi to organize this meaningful event. This is an event to connect the Past - Present - Future and strengthen the relationship between the two countries in preserving and promoting cultural values”.
