Meeting foreign students on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023

On January 10, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) held a meeting to give presents and encourage foreign students studying and researching at the University.

From the University of Danang (UD), there was the participation of MA. Ho Long Ngoc, Vice Director of International Cooperation Department.
Attending the meeting, there were also foreign students representing more than 200 international students from different countries: Laos, Cambodia, China, Korea, Nigeria, Republic of Belarus, USA, Taipei – China, Belgium, Japan, and France taking Vietnamese language programs for foreigners, undergraduate programs, master’s and PhD programs.

At this meeting, MA. Ho Long Ngoc - Vice Director of the International Cooperation Department expressed the gratitude to the University and congratulated the University on its encouraging and proud results in attracting foreign students, affirming the international integration efforts of the University. She believed that attracting foreign students to study and research at the university would build a multicultural environment, speeding up the university internationalization process of the University of Danang in general.
MA. Ho Long Ngoc expected that in addition to studying, foreign students would also become cultural ambassadors, friendship bridges to support the promotion of UD's image to the world, towards the UD’s development goals to become a destination for international students and to develop friendship between countries.
Dr. Nguyen Van Sang, Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation made the speech.
Dr. Nguyen Van Sang, Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation shared the meaning of the Vietnamese traditional Tet with the foreign students and wished that they would take advantage of the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Vietnamese Tet Holiday. He said: “The university always accompanies you during your study in Vietnam”. On behalf of the University, Dr. Nguyen Van Sang extended New Year wishes to all the foreign students.
Lotjana Antany, post graduate student made the speech
Representing the international students at the university, post graduate student Lotjana Antany shared “I am grateful to the leaders of the university for organizing this meeting for foreign students on the occasion of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. I would also like to thank teachers for helping us in difficult times, during our time living and studying in Vietnam in general and at UD-UED in particular”.

Through the meeting, the university's leaders also gave presents to international students to spread the Tet atmosphere to every foreign student.
UD-UED has a tradition of more than 20 years of offering Vietnamese language programs, undergraduate and post graduate programs to foreign students. The international students graduating from the University have made important contributions to the development of their country. In 2021, the University was honored to be awarded the 3rd class Labor Medal by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic for its important contributions in training human resources for the southern and central provinces of Laos.
