MEETING WITH THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OF THE 2024 JUNE VIETAMESE LANGUAGE COURSE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DA NANG – UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND EDUCATION

Along with international integration and cultural exchange, foreigners’ need to learn Vietnamese is increasing. To meet that need, so far the University of Da Nang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) has offered Vietnamese language courses for foreigners at different levels from elementary to advanced.

This morning, June 3, 2024, UD-UED organized a meeting with the international students of the 2024 June  course. At the meeting, there was the participation of Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector of the university; representatives of the Department of Science and International Cooperation and nearly 20 international students from countries such as the United States, China, Japan, Korea, Nigeria, and Afghanistan.

Making the speech  at the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu shared: “currently, the number of foreigners coming to Da Nang city and nearby cities is increasingly. Therefore, Vietnamese learning is very necessary. The Vietnamese Language training course program provides knowledge of 4 skills Listening - Speaking - Reading – Writing. In addition, there are outdoor activities at tourist, historical and cultural locations in Da Nang and neighboring provinces, helping international students improve their Vietnamese language skills. Moreover, the  teaching staff are lecturers having lots of experience in teaching and researching Vietnamese and high professional qualifications to meet the increasing demands of learners.

Dr.Nguyen Van Sang, Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation made a presentation on the course.

UD-UED is an institution empowered by the Ministry of Education and Training to train and issue Vietnamese language certificates according to the 6-level Vietnamese Language Proficiency framework for foreigners. The university has more than 20 years of experience in Vietnamese language training for foreigners. Lots of international students have completed the courses,  contributing to promoting the Vietnamese language, history, and culture to international friends.
