MEETING LAO STUDENTS ON THE OCCASION OF THE 2022 LUNAR NEW YEAR

On the occasion of the 2022 Lunar New Year, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education held a meeting on January 25, 2022 to present gifts and share joy with Lao students residing in the University's Dormitory. This is the 2nd consecutive year that the Lao students have stayed to celebrate the traditional Vietnamese New Year.

Attending the meeting, there were leaders of the university including Dr. Bui Bich Hanh - Vice Rector, MA.Huynh Bong - Deputy Head of Department of Student Affairs, Dr. Nguyen Van Sang - Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation and representatives of Lao students.

Dr. Nguyen Van Sang - Deputy Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation made the speech at the beginning of the meeting and  shared the meaning of the Vietnamese traditional New Year with the Lao students.  Dr. Nguyen Van Sang hoped that the Lao students would take advantage of this opportunity to experience the beauty of this festival – Tet Holiday and believed that the Lao students would be a cultural bridge between the two countries Vietnam – Laos.

At the meeting, gifts were also presented to the Lao students as the university’s sharing joy with them on Tet Holiday.
 
On behalf of the Lao students at the university, Antany Lodjachana (post-graduate student majoring in Experimental Biology) expressed her gratitude to the University's leaders and staff members who have always cared, created favorable conditions for the Lao students, especially on the days when Da Nang were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Antany Lodjachana shared: "We promise to remind each other to study well, comply with the university's regulations on daily activities and pandemic prevention, and we will celebrate the 2022 Lunar New Year in the safe and healthy manner"

At the end of the meeting, the leaders and Lao students wished one another  a peaceful, successful and happy new year.
