The Conference on “International cooperation after the COVID-19 pandemic at The University of Danang - University of Science and Education: Current situation and solutions to improve efficiency”

 

On the morning of December 18, 2021, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education held a conference on “International cooperation after the COVID-19 pandemic at the University of Danang - University of Science and Education: Current situation and solutions to improve efficiency” in the semi –online form.

The conference aimed to discuss the results and development orientations of international cooperation at the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) after the COVID-19 pandemic and share experience to improve the effectiveness of international cooperation.

At the conference, there was the participation of  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang - Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan – Head of the Department of Science and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Van Sang - Deputy Head of the Department of Science and International Cooperation and other staff members. There were also online attendees including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen, Head of International Cooperation Department – the University of Danang; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Nguyen Thanh Vinh - Head of International Cooperation Department, Ho Chi Minh University of Education; Dr. Do Thi Kim Cuong - Deputy Head of Administration - External Relations Department-Hanoi National University of Education; Dr. On Thi My Linh - Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation, Thai Nguyen University of Education; MA. Lonphanh Phaodavanh from Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR…

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang – Rector of the University made the speech at the conference

Making the speech at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang - Rector of the University shared: “International cooperation plays a very important role for universities, especially in the current period. Effective international cooperation will help improve the efficiency of training, human resources, promote projects and enhance the prestige and position of the universities. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the university had had synchronous policies, promoting the development of international cooperation and creating positive results and opportunities for comprehensive and widespread international cooperation, reflected in the MOUs, training programs, scientific research and international conferences of the university... Since the  beginning of 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university has promoted cooperation with universities around the world through the online form, but the international cooperation has not yet achieved the expected results.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang hoped that the conference would create a chance for experts, managers and scientists, officials and lecturers to exchange, orient and propose solutions to create a breakthrough as a push for UD-UED to overcome challenges and difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the conference, there were 06 reports presented, along with lots of exchange ideas and comments on the following contents: International cooperation at the University of Danang – results and development orientation; international cooperation at Ho Chi Minh University of Education; international cooperation activities at Hanoi National University of Education; international cooperation activities at Thai Nguyen University of Education; Lao students’ learning in Vietnam: practical needs and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of  the enrollment.

 

The participants exchanged opinions on international cooperation activities of the University of Danang - University of Science and Education.

Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan - Head of the Department of Science and International Cooperation made a presentation on  “Results and development orientations of international cooperation at UD-UED after the COVID-19 pandemic”.
The particpants discussed, analyzed, identified the current situation and shared experience, short-term and long-term solutions to help UD-UED overcome challenges and pointed out opportunities, potentials, orientations and ways to enhance international cooperation activities in the coming time in a synchronous and effective manner.
The conference created a forum for the experts, managers, scientists, officials and lecturers from universities to share and exchange experience in developing and organizing international cooperation activities.
