The University of Education (UED) organized Lao New Year for Lao students

Under the permission of the UED Board of Rectors, on April 8, the Management Board of Lao students at the UED organized the traditional festival of Bunpimay 2561 ( in Buddhist calendar) for their members.
 

Participating Bunpimay 2561, there were Mrs. Sisavat Inthipanya – the dame of the Deputy Director of Lao Consulate General in Da Nang, teachers of the Faculty of  Literature; representatives of Lao students studying at the member schools of the University of  Da Nang and a large number of Lao students are living and studying in the UED.

At the festival, Mrs. Sisavat Inthipanya and Lao students performed traditional rituals such as tying wrists, splashing water to express their affection, respect and pray for the best in the new year of the Lao people.

Teachers of the Faculty of  Literature also performed traditional rituals with their Lao students, and sent good wishes to them.

Vongvienxay Thongdam (a Lao student in journalism major) said: "The Bunpimay Festival is an opportunity for Lao friends to connect with each other, and to share the memories in the holidays away from home”.
