MoU Signing Ceremony between The University of Danang – University of Science and Education and Guizhou Minzu University (P.R.China)
In order to expand the cooperative relationship in training and scientific research, on the morning of June 9, 2021, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education held the MoU Signing Ceremony between the University and Guizhou Minzu University, China. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the signing ceremony was conducted online.
“Guizhou Minzu University (GZMU) was founded on May 17, 1951 under the jurisdiction of the People’s Government of Guizhou Province. As one of the first minorities-oriented universities in China, it is a key provincial higher education institute sponsored jointly by the People’s Government of Guizhou Province and the State Commission for Nationalities. The university is located in Huaxi District of Guiyang City, a scenic spot with pleasant weather and green mountains and bright waters renowned as “Pearl of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau”.The campus of Dong Jiayan is across from a national wet land park which covers an area of 883,100㎡; another campus in university town covers 1,884,000㎡. The number of the full-time students at GZMU reaches over 20,095. There are more than 1,571 faculty and staff members on the payroll, and 1,196 of them are full-time faculty members. The university offers degree programs, including bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs. It also provides non-degree programs, such as exchange programs, general scholar programs, language training on a long-term or short-term basis."
In the ceremony, from The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang – Secretary of the University Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Bui Bich Hanh - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Quy Tuan - Head of Department of Science and International Cooperation and other representatives of related faculties and departments. The participants from Guizhou Minzu University included Prof. WANG Lin – President; Mr.ZHOU Jie – Vice President; Ms. LIU Jichang – Director of Office of Human Resource; Ms.YANG Taiqian – Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and other heads of related faculties and departments .

Making a speech at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang - Rector of UD-UED believed that the cooperative relationship between the two sides would have good and sustainable development steps in the future. The signing ceremony marked an important milestone, a big step in the cooperation between The University of Danang - University of Science and Education and Guizhou Minzu University. The MoU creates favorable conditions for lecturers, researchers, students and learners of the University to have the opportunity to promote research and science and technology applications.
